The third Meeting of the African Ministers of Communications and Information Technology
African Ministers of Communications’ Executive Committee started meeting on Monday,13 June in Salam Rotana Hotel in Khartoum, the meeting attended by representatives from nine African countries.
Dr.Izz Al-Din Kamil Amin, NTC director general, addressed the opening session, reviewing the meeting agenda, stressing on the necessity of placing policies to support the stability and peace among African countries in the field of communications and information technology.
During his speech, he made reference to information security infrastructure projects, In addition to a number of initiatives on e-learning, and e-health,post, and many other topics.
He clarified that the meeting aimed to follow up the situation on the regional initiatives and projects implementation, that would develop social and economic infrastructures as well as technical and human development for telecoms and information technology sector within African countries.
It is worth mentioning that this meeting is the third in which Sudan was elected president of its Executive Committee in the previous year.
